Washington State School System Uses ATP to Monitor New Cleaning Guidelines

As schools, governments, and private businesses alike adopt US Centers for Disease Control guidelines on cleaning and disinfection as a defense against the SARS-Cov-2 coronavirus, many are turning to Hygiena's ATP monitoring technology to help verify cleaning efforts. Studies have shown that certain disinfectants can disable the virus on surfaces. While ATP monitoring can't detect viruses, and scientists still don't know how infective SARS-Cov-2 is from a surface, it's still helpful to at least reduce overall contamination risk from microbes.

Here, the Richland, Washington, school district reports on using Hygiena's EnSURE Monitoring system in its facilities. Like all Washington state public schools, the district is now closed until April 24, but it has been conducting enhanced sanitation and monitoring.
