This kit allows the simultaneous detection of the genus Salmonella and the family Enterobacteriaceae by real-time PCR in two different fluorescence channels. Since 2005, the EC 2073 requires the investigation of powdered infant formula for the pathogenic genus Salmonella and also recommends screening for the family Enterobacteriaceae as a hygiene indicator.
