SureTrend Privacy Policy

The privacy and security of your information is important to us. This notice explains who we are, how we collect data, how we use it, who we share it with and how long we keep it. It also informs you of your rights and how to enforce them.

This policy covers SureTrend.hygeina.com (the "Site").The Policy is effective as of June 1st, 2019.

Who Are We

Hygiena has its headquarters in the United States. Information we collect from you will be processed in the United States. Hygiena relies on derogations as set forth in Article 49 of the GDPR as the United States has no "adequacy" decision and no other safeguards under the GDPR are in place (for example binding corporate rules on the transfer outside the EEA or EU-U.S. Privacy Shield and Swiss – U.S. Privacy Shield Frameworks).

In particular, Hygiena collects and transfers to the U.S. personal data only:

  • with your explicit consent
  • to perform a contract with you in a manner that does not outweigh your rights and freedoms.
  • If this data is not processed and transferred, Hygiena will not be able to execute the contract with you or you will not have access to any or all of the benefits and features associated with suretrend.hygiena.com.
  • Hygiena endeavors to apply suitable safeguards to protect the privacy and security of your personal data and to use it only consistent with your relationship with Hygiena and the practices described in this Privacy Notice.
  • Hygiena also minimizes the risk to your rights and freedoms by not collecting or storing sensitive information about you.

Modifications to This Policy

From time to time, SureTrend.hygiena.com may need to update or modify this Privacy Policy, including to address new issues or to reflect changes on our web site. To the extent required by law, we will notify you of material changes to this Privacy Policy, including by posting the most recent version of the Privacy Policy and information about the changes from the previous version.

Collection of Personally Identifiable Information

Keeping your information

If you no longer wish to be a customer, you can also contact our Customer Care team and request to delete all the information we have on you.

If reasonably necessary or required to meet legal or regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our Privacy Policy, we may also keep hold of some of your information as required, even after you have closed your account or it is no longer needed to provide the services to you.

Security of your Personal Information

Hygiena is committed to protecting the security of your personal information.  To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place reasonable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Please use caution when disclosing information online. Often, you are in the best situation to protect yourself online. You are responsible for protecting your username and password from third party access, and for selecting passwords that are secure.

Transfer of your Personal Information

Except as otherwise described in this privacy statement, personal information you provide via the Site will not be sold or shared outside of Hygiena.

Use of Cookies

The Site uses "cookies" so that we can recognize you and determine when you revisit hygiena.suretrend.com, and to provide a more personalized experience.  A "cookie" is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier, that our Site stores on the hard drive of your computer through your browser.  Most browsers are set up to accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser settings to refuse them.  Hygiena does not use cookies to retrieve personal information about you from your computer.

Hygiena uses cookies to:

  • Recognize you so that you can log in to our Site and access your account information.
  • Evaluate how many people return to our Site and measure the traffic to various areas of the Site.

In addition to the cookies that Hygiena uses, third-party service providers may also set cookies when you visit the Site.  In some cases, we use third-party service providers to provide functions or services on our behalf, such as credit card processing, business and marketing analytics, customer service, distribution of surveys or sweepstakes programs, or sending postal mail or e-mail.  Third-party service providers have access to personal information about you that is needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for any other purpose.

Google Analytics

We use a tool called "Google Analytics" to collect information about use of this site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit this site, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to this site. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve this site. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this site, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Although Google Analytics plants a permanent cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit this site, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to this site is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy. You can prevent Google Analytics from recognizing you on return visits to this site by disabling cookies on your browser.

Google Visualization API

The Site utilizes Google Visualization API for displaying certain charts. Google Visualization API is subject to Google API terms of use.

Protection of Children’s Personal Information

The Site is intended for a general audience and we do not knowingly collect personal information from those under the age of 13.

Your Rights

You have a lot of rights relating to your personal information. You can ask:

  • to see the personal data that we hold on you
  • to have the personal data corrected (although you can probably do most of this from My Account section of our website)
  • that we delete your data, or stop processing it or collecting it, in some circumstances
  • Express any concern you have about our use of your data
