foodproof® GMO CaMV Detection Kit

This kit detects the 35S promoter from the cauliflower mosaic virus (CaMV). While other genetic elements used for GMO screening, such as NOS or bar, are rare in food samples, the cauliflower mosaic virus is often referred to as a natural infectant in Brassicaceae, e.g. canola, cauliflower and mustard. Thus, a false-positive signal for P-35S can be produced at a GMO screening.
