The foodproof® Spoilage Yeast Detection 2 LyoKit delivers fast, accurate spoilage detection in beverages via real-time PCR. This rapid test identifies four major spoilage yeasts--including S. cerevisiae var. diastaticus--in beer, wine, juices, and non-alcoholic beverages. Ideal for wine spoilage detection and brewery quality control, results are available in approximately 2.5 hours with sensitivity to 10^2 CFU/mL from enrichment cultures. The lyophilized format eliminates the need for cold-chain shipping and reduces contamination risks. Built-in internal controls and the UNG system ensure reliable, defensible results for beverage quality laboratories.
